Day 2 - The Back Porch

We left the beach around 4:00 to clean up and get ready for dinner. We got to The Back Porch around 6:00. There was a long line to put names in. Our wait time was 50 minutes to an hour - quite long, but we were willing to wait.

We headed out to the beach to take pictures to kill some time.

We then sat down at a table for thirty minutes. Thinking we were about to be called, we washed our feet and stood on the stairs. For another twenty minutes. FINALLY, we were called.

We had a pretty decent table upstairs. It was nice and breezy (which was good - Emily got overheated when they went).

I don't remember our waiter's name, but our busboy's name was Joel. He enjoyed taking plates from our table.

We ordered the seafood nachos for an appetizer. They were very good. I ordered the crab cake sandwich. It was delicious. Meredith and Rachel both got shrimp off the appetizer menu - Rachel got fried, and Meredith got regular (I guess that's what you'd call it) with fries. It was a lot of shrimp (for much less than entrees). Rachel said that Meredith's shrimp was better.

After the Back Porch, we swung by Publix to pick up more groceries. We did the self check-out, which turned out to be a major mistake. When we rung up "Mike's Light Hard Lemonade," an alarm went off telling us that was a restricted item, and we needed to show ID to the nearest cashier. The same thing happened to the guys beside us ringing up a 24-pack. It took about 10 minutes to get the stuff paid for.

When we got back, we walked on the beach, did a little bit of "crabbing" with some guys we ran into, then headed to bed.
