We started the day with another brunch in Triton's. I really appreciate the menu here. They had steak!
And skewers!
And soup (for Aaron)!
We were leaving the dining room, and I asked Aaron, "Do you want to see people race babies?" "What??" "You know, like horse racing but with babies." Ha, gotta see that! It's cute to watch, and the parents can get very competitive. No betting, though... at least not yet!
We were getting a little stir-crazy inside, so we decided to take a walk around the pool deck. They were playing Toy Story above the family pool.
No problem getting a chair today!
The lifeguard in pants and a jacket really says it all.
Even we were wearing jackets!
The Quiet Cove Pool was even quieter...
WINDDDDDYYYYYY!!!
The hot tub was still poppin'. We weren't enthusiastic about getting wet right now, though.
Even an empty sports court!
Aaron had walked through the buffet and came back to me, "They've got crab lebs and a bunch of good stuff in there!" It was the first time he'd seen the lunch buffet.
To avoid the chaos, we found a seat outside. The wind wassn't too bad on the back deck of Cabana's because it was blocked by the ship.
We did a little shopping. And this little princess unknowingly gave me a cute shot -
What a model!
There was some sort of farewell (See Ya Real Soon?!) dance party taking place in the atrium. We headed upstairs for a better view.
It was a happenin' time.
And it rained CONFETTI!!!
Aaron had been wanting a Mickey Premium Bar all week, so we ordered from room service. They came iced! We ate them while watching Hercules on our stateroom T.V.
*Magic*
We spent the later part of the afternoon playing Trivia in O'Gills. Aaron and I saw another couple and went to ask them if we could join them for a game of trivia. "No, we have other people coming." "Oh, you can't take on two more players?" "No, we can't." "Alright, you'll be wishing you did when we bring home those baseball caps!" We joined up with some other people, but we didn't win. Also, Aaron is a lot better at trivia than me. I was relying on him wholeheartedly to carry the team.
Our show that evening was Disney Dreams - An Enchanted Classic. I thought I had seen it before because I was mistaking it for Disney's Believe on the Disney Dream... turns out it's an entirely different show (but you can understand the confusion, right?). This story is a classic Disney musical narrative. Young girl, Anne-Marie just can't find it in her heart to believe in magic. Her mom tucks her into bed, and then Peter Pan comes in her room and is like, "Woah, you gotta believe if you wanna fly with me." So Peter Pan and a bunch of other Disney friends take her through well-choreographed and spectacularly-performed musical numbers from their respective films until Anne-Marie has been doused in the face with so much magic that if she doesn't believe by now, it's just never going to happen. Now, I've been talking about how she needs to believe, but given the name of this show, Disney Dreams (and yes, it's a classic), I'm going to make a bold proposition that Peter Pan never came in her room and made her fly and it was all just a dream that was so wildly vivid and convincing that she now believes she can fly. This could be dangerous.
In all seriousness, it's a corny narrative that loosely ties together all of these random songs from different Disney films. I could honestly do without the silly in-between dialogue. However, I understand the goal, and I'll put up with it because the musical numbers are very well-executed, high-quality performances that I enjoy watching.
For dinner, we were back at Animator's Palate. Tonight, we drew characters and the put them in the little show. Unfortunately, I ran out of space on my memory card (the horror!) during dinner, so I have no photos of the food - just a few wild shots of Aaron drawing a character.
Disney is one of the few cruise lines I know if that still provides tip envelopes. Our gratuities were prepaid, so they gave us little slips with the prepaid amount to give to our dining team and stateroom host and hostess. We also thanked Bonieface, Emanuel, and John and added some cash tips to their envelopes - a good thing to do when to thank a team that goes above and beyond.
Aaron and I swung by O'Gills after dinner to have one last beer and trade in our souvenir mugs for new clean ones to take home (and glass, not blue plastic!). It was not lively nightlife on the last night - just some people singing karaoke which Aaron and I sat down and endured for longer than I would have predicted.
No photos of our departure, but Aaron and I ate breakfast in Animator's Palate that morning. We rolled off our luggage (rather than putting it out in the hallway to be collected and delivered to baggage claim) and went straight to the parking garage across from the port - what a breeze! It was a very fun cruise vacation. Aaron and I both had a wonderful time.... and I think I've got Aaron hooked on cruising now!!
