On our second day at Walt Disney World, we had park reservations at Magic Kingdom. Judy had requested breakfast at Crystal Palace.
We took the bus from the Boardwalk to Magic Kingdom. I was on the bus when it turned 7 AM, and unfortunately I was not able to get a virtual queue boarding group for Tiana's Bayou Adventure. The rest of the family didn't seem to care, but I was frustrated because I was assisting with the construction of the attraction at Disneyland, and the team kept asking me if I was going to ride it when I went to Florida. Oh well, I could try again at 1PM.

We had a reservation at Tony's Town Square, and we were able to get a patio table for parade viewing. We've done this three times, now, and I'm always worried that more people will catch on and it will get too popular. However, it seems like when it's hot outside, people would rather just sit indoors.

Aaron was really impressed with the Festival of Fantasy parade and how tall the floats were. This was a nice break from the crowds.

We did a little shopping to kill time before Tron. Aaron and I lucked out with the front row!

Rachel convinced us that we should hang around the Magic Kingdom area for fireworks, so we embarked on a Monorail Bar Crawl.

2nd Stop: The Polynesian - Trader Sam's. When we arrived, there was no hostess at the door, so we walked right in and sat down. Then a few minutes later, the hostess came over to us and told us that there was a waitlist and we couldn't have that table. Whoops. We put our name on the waitlist and went outside where they have lots of outdoor seating and live music. When our table was ready indoors, we opted to stay outside because the sun was setting and it felt nice outside.

3rd Stop: The Grand Floridian - Enchanted Rose. We love Enchanted Rose and have visited several times before. It's in the location of the former Mizner's Lounge. We opted to sit outside and enjoy the sunset.

What's also great about Enchanted Rose is that the Grand Floridian has really nice bathrooms.

We completed the monorail loop and got to Magic Kingdom in time for Happily Ever After. Such a great fireworks show!

There were Extra Magic Hours (is that even the name anymore?) for resort guests at Magic Kingdom that night, and Rachel and I convinced the family that we should hang out for awhile since the buses were going to be crazy after fireworks.

We rode it's a small world, the carousel, got dole whips, and rode Magic Carpets of Aladdin.

When we left, the lines for the buses were still insane. It took us at least an hour to get back to the Boardwalk. From now on, I'm only watching Magic Kingdom fireworks if I'm staying at a Magic Kingdom resort (I'm joking.... kind of)!

1st Stop: The Contemporary - Outer Rim. This was kind of a weird one because it's kind of just the waiting area for Chef' Mickey's. However, Stove needed to make a work call, so it was a good quiet place for us to hang out while he went and did that. Our waitress knocked over a full beer glass onto Aaron's lap when she was delivering our drinks. She's really lucky it was Aaron because I don't think the rest of us could have kept our cool like he did. I was freaking out enough, and it wasn't even me! While she did apologize and bring him a new beer.... she still charged him for the beer. You'd think in a situation like that they would graciously not charge for the spilled drink considering it completely soaked his shorts.
