On the last day of our Christmas Cruise, we docked in St. Maarten. We've been to St. Maarten many times over the years, and it's a great port of call. This was also the excursion that Stove was the most excited for. He booked The Best Catamaran Day Sail in St. Maarten through Viator, and it had rave reviews.

We awoke in port next to the Ruby Princess, whom we had been sailing along with from Fort Lauderdale.



St. Maarten was flooded with tourists today with six cruise ships in port. I'd be interested to do a study on population spikes in port cities when cruise ships dock.

At the newer dock, I could see the Norwegian Getaway and Holland America Line Zuiderdam (who was badly in need of a paint job).

December 26, 2013 - St. Maarten

This morning, we awoke in St. Maarten. Rachel had her massage this morning, and she came back really happy saying it was the best massage she's had on a cruise ship and that she really liked her masseuse. After she returned, I went with her to get breakfast at Horizon Court.

The next morning, we woke up in beautiful St. Maarten! There were six ships in port!!! The weather didn't look too promising, so we decided just to walk to the beach in port, rather than take a cab to Orient Beach.
