That morning before getting off the ship, Aaron and I headed up to the pool deck in attempt to ride the Aqua Mouse (we heard that the morning of Castaway Cay was a good time for low lines). Unfortunately, the Aqua Mouse was closed.

Ready for more fun in the sun!

The last time we were at Castaway Cay, we rented a private cabana at Serenity Bay. This time, we didn't pre-book anything through DCL. Our plan was to start the day at Serenity Bay, then eat lunch and head to the Family Beach and do the waterslides.

Disney is always keeping the ship pristine!

We waited for the tram at Kargo Handling.

Spotted a few parasailers in the distance. You can book parasailing as a Port Adventure on Castaway Cay.

The tram from Kargo Handling takes you to the Family Beach, then you need to get out and switch to the tram that goes to Serenity Bay.

A very quiet morning at Serenity Bay.

We claimed some loungers, then brought some of the smaller chairs up to the shoreline.

Banana Boating is also available as a Port Adventure to be booked through Disney.

There were a lot of birds on the beach, and I went with Stove to go check them out...

Due to the time of year, there was a lot of seasonal sargassum seaweed. Sargassum is natural and provides a habitat for marine life.

Uh-oh - is that a storm rolling in?!

We decided to pack up and get lunch at Serenity Bay BBQ.

The nice thing about the barbecue on Serenity Bay is that it's for adults only, so it's usually a little less crowded than Cookies and Cookies Too.

The food is just alright.... personally, I'd like to see more food variety than just barbecue on the island.

More birds!

Beach Wheelchairs are available for free to use on the island and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis at Pelican Point and Serenity Bay tram stops.

After lunch, we headed back to Pelican Point.

Aaron and I did a little shopping at Buy the Seashore. Aaron picked out a few souvenirs he wanted to bring back to his co-workers. Unfortunately, my Cast Discount does not extend to Castaway Cay, so we paid full price.

It was very hot! We took a few turns on the water slides.

Then we headed to the Heads Up Bar.

My POV....

Aaron's POV...

Head to get a Konk Cooler!

Did I mention it was HOT?!

Aaron and I did a little exploring and stumbled upon (closed) Cookie's Too BBQ.

Here's a lok at the dining area setup -

Also noticed the Sand Bar!

They serve cans at the Sand Bar, so it's the perfect use of a b-day koozie!

It was nearing 4:30, so we started meandering back toward the ship....

Aaron so kindly modeling our Castaway Club beach tote. Seriously, this is my favorite Castaway Club gift ever. Aaron and I reach for it all of the time! I'm going to have to cruise DCL again just to get another one.

Stove and Judy in their matching swimsuits!

And look at that - a real smile from Stove!

Always among the last to make it back to the ship.....

We headed straight to the pool deck and were greeted with unfortunate news....

Welp, guess we'd need to book another cruise to ride the Aqua Mouse.

We headed over to Quiet Cove to watch the ship leave Castaway Cay.

A great spot for set sail.... they really could've made this pool bigger, the demand is huge.

We headed back to the room to hang our swimsuits up to dry and quickly pack up our bags before dinner.

Cheers, neighbor!

Our whiteboards were a hit - people wrote us fun little notes! (Unlike on Jewel of the Seas when people left us naughty messages.)

Final fit check!

This little play area is so cute at dusk -

Rex, such a cutie!

They were closing up some of the pools on deck...

We met for pre-dinner drinks at The Rose, one of our favorite lounges.

Hot tip: the Sommelier Bin is $11 and usually a top-tier pour.

To no one's surprise, Stove found a blue drink - the "Welcome Home" (a DVC drink, but not exclusive to DVC Members).

I ordered the Sweet Rose which is poured over a rose-shaped ice cube.

Our dinner that night was at Worlds of Marvel.

This is an "interactive dining experience" and heavily Avengers-themed.

The menu was also our least-favorite of the cruise. It seemed... all over the place. Not very cohesive.

The theming, however, was fun and futuristic.

There's a show that plays on large LED monitors around the room, primarily featuring Ant Man and The Wasp.

And there's this Quantum Core on each table that we're supposed to push buttons to activate.

I ordered the Wakanda Tasting Lab... for research.

This is the Hearts of Palm. It was.... interesting. I love cilantro, though.

This is the White Cheddar and Broccolini Soup -

The Stinger -

The Heirloom Tomato Salad was a little light on heirloom tomatoes...

Aaron had the Shiitake and Tofu Udon. This was a vegetarian option, so I didn't even really look at that section of the menu, but it was honestly the best entree at our table.

I got the Grilled Tuna Steak... to be honest, it was a little more grilled than I would have preferred.

The Quantum Core accidentally shrunk the Disney Wish, and that's when Spiderman comes in to save the day.

Spiderman also makes an appearance in the dining room. They warn everyone to have their cameras ready for selfies, Spiderman will not be stopping.

It's true! Spiderman runs around like a madman, and if you interract with him at all, you're going to miss the shot like Rachel did. Best to not look at Spiderman, just look at your photographer.

See... too much interaction, no posed photo.

Verses me.... I didn't look at Spiderman at all, just looked at Aaron, and he was able to capture the shot!

And if you miss Spiderman when he runs around, you can always take a selfie with his back...

For dessert, I had the Quantum Key Lime Pie.

Aaron had the Pym Donut Sundae.

After dinner, there was a final gathering of characters in the Grand Hall. It's a final opportunity to get some photos with some of your favorite characters.

Look at Ms. Daisy in her cute nautical attire!

Stove hadn't been to Hyperspace Lounge yet and wanted to check it out.... but then he wasn't really feeling anything on the menu, so we headed out.

We went to Luna and played a game of Quest. While in Luna, I met Chelsea, a follower of the blog! Thanks for saying hi, Chelsea! (Also, I bet at this point you thought you'd never see this trip on the blog, it's been taking so long!)

We left Luna and headed to The Bayou for espresso martinis.

Very cute! (But note, if you want an actual espresso martini, the place to go is Wishing Star Cafe where they have an espresso machine.)

Time to call it a night!

One last look at the Grand Hall -

This trip was a whirlwind, but so much fun! The Disney Wish has received a lot of criticism from Disney Cruise Line fans - some of it understandably so, but I do think that DCL Fans are being especially hard on this ship just because it's different from the Magic/Wonder and Dream/Fantasy.

I loved the Grand Hall, really liked our stateroom, loved Mickey's Festival of Foods for casual dining on the pool deck, and appreciated the different themed lounges on the ship.
I look forward to sailing on the Disney Wish again! 3 Nights was not enough to truly explore this ship.
